The ABBA Team

Lately I've been working on decompressing by playing around with things that make me happy and help me relax. That includes remodeling a bathroom, watching true-crime shows (I know, I don't get it, either), and art journaling. The latter is what I was doing this afternoon when my seven-year-old daughter came into my office. She hadn't seen me make a collage before, and within the hour, she had decided the two of us were now a crafting group. The best part? She named the group The ABBA Team after - and I could not love this more - one of her favorite bands. "Do you know them, too?" she asked me today, as if we don't regularly twirl around the kitchen to "Dancing Queen."

Anyway, I suddenly find myself in a girl-band that crafts while singing. How's your day going?

Other than this exciting news, I'm coaching an author as she works through edits on her first book. We're in the beginning process, but wow, this author's book will change lives, and I am so privileged to be part of bringing it to life. I love helping authors create books that balance the honest struggles we all endure with humor and love - to genuinely reflect what it means to make our way in this often absurd world. That's what I strive for in my own books, and I love that I also have the privilege of helping other authors who share that vision achieve their dreams.
